Odyssey.
The live Virtual Reality Audio Play, was performed in July at Derby College and created alongside Virtual Reality Curators ‘MBD’ and University of Derby, Audio Production Professor, Dr Bruce Wiggins and his MA Audio Production Students.
The piece, Produced and Directed by Tom Craig, was Co-Created with Writer - Simon Marshall, Composed by Lucy James (Plus One Alumni) alongside Care Experienced Young and Families from Across the city. The themes and original Virtual Reality curation was completed by Young People from across various settings. Workshops took places in Residential Care Homes and Public Workshops for invited families and young people. These then transitioned into a working group who finished the script along side the named professionals. This all accumulated into a live performed audio play whilst the audiences experienced the stories through Virtual Reality headsets.
Plus One is Derby City's cultural gateway for Care-Experienced Young People and their Families. Working in collaboration with Derby's Cultural Education Partnership, Plus One offers FREE access and opportunities for those who need it most.
